DESCRIPTION:How women lead in Asia\nSession Description:\nHow do women lead
  and succeed in this part of the world? What is unique to working in Asia 
 and how can women hold their own and stand out? Based on her extensive res
 earch and insights in her recently published book How Women Work: Fitting 
 In and Standing Out in Asia\, Aarti will address these questions.\n\nThrou
 gh stories and anecdotes\, she will highlight the strategies and skills th
 at women exhibit across diverse industries and markets in Asia against the
  backdrop of cultural nuances and contexts. With the increasing focus worl
 dwide on DEI\, this session will help us understand and leverage the learn
 ings and experiences of Asian leaders as they navigate the intricate ties 
 between leadership and culture in Asia.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nSpeaker:\nAarti Kels
 hikar is the founder of 3A Consulting LLP in Singapore. She is an intercul
 tural coach and author with over fifteen years of work experience in India
 \, Singapore and the Philippines.\n\nShe is a certified facilitator of Cul
 tural Intelligence (CQ) and accredited coach of The International Profiler
  (TIP)\, relevant frameworks that \\ help to assess and develop intercultu
 ral effectiveness. Aarti is also a certified executive coach from the inte
 rnational Neuro Leadership group. Since 2008\, Aarti has delivered customi
 zed intercultural training programmes for senior executives from multinati
 onal corporations like Nestlé\, Unilever\, Proctor and Gamble\, Colgate P
 almolive\, and Texas Instruments.\n\nAarti has recently published her seco
 nd book titled How Women Work: Fitting in and Standing Out in Asia. This b
 ook observes women leaders through a pan-Asian lens providing insights on 
 leadership and success in Asia. Her first book How India Works: Making Sen
 se of a Complex Corporate Culture is a guide to the cultural nuances and c
 omplexities of working with Indians.\n\nShe is on the founding board of SI
 ETAR South East Asia (Society for Intercultural Education\, Training and R
 esearch).\n\nBefore discovering the fascinating world of intercultural coa
 ching\, Aarti worked for seven years in the area of securities market comp
 liance with the Securities and Exchange Board of India in Mumbai and with 
 a consulting firm in Singapore. Aarti has a master’s in business adminis
 tration from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai and a
  bachelor’s in commerce from Sydenham College in Mumbai.
